Various Ways People See God

There is not just one way that people experience and connect to God.  Instead, because of our personal histories, personalities, needs and…whatever, there are multiple pathways (as Gary Thomas outlines in his book “Sacred Pathways” and Myra Perrine did in “What’s Your God Language?”) for us to use in connecting with God.  The reality of these various pathways brings tremendous challenges to church leaders for how they organize worship services, Bible studies, prayer experiences, mission efforts, social gatherings and more.  They also offer us wonderful options and opportunities for how to do things.  Below is a chart I put together with Myra Perrine of characteristics or perspectives for the 9 pathways.  If you would like a workshop on the concept of God Languages or Spiritual Pathways contact me at (501) 217-9129 or swallacegs@aol.com.
