Advent/Christmas Devotional Book
Below are themes used to put together a devotional booklet for the 25 days leading up to Christmas. Each day is assigned to an individual in the congregation in order to provide a personalized booklet for the church community. Individuals are asked to write a devotional thought of a couple of paragraphs and a brief prayer. When we asked people to write a piece we mentioned to them that if they had any difficulty in putting together their thoughts we would help. That invitation is something you might want to do because it made people much more comfortable and the whole experience a positive one. Also, you might want to make it known that you reserved the right to edit for clarity and space considerations. We also have a template (Word document) into which the devotional thoughts can be place (so that you do have to work out the placement of dates and pages). If you would like it we would be happy to email it to you.
The booklet contains the scripture reading (provided), a 2-3 paragraph thought written by a member of the congregation on the theme (you provide), and a two line prayer (you provide).
